Ah good news! Jeff Passan's worst case scenario of a torn UCL diagnoses for Joe Wieland doesn't seem likely anymore. Padres beat writer Corey Brock passed along information directly from manager Bud Black about the exact location of Wieland's soreness.
Bud Black said his conversation with Joe Wieland centered more triceps area that he previously had trouble with -- not the ligament. #Padres

Apparently Wieland has had tricep soreness in the past and the pain it is not a result of a torn ligament. That means a second Tommy John surgery will not be necessary. I don't know about you but I just let out a big sigh of relief.
