After posting a 19-6 record in July and a 23-6 mark in August the Dodgers look for more success in September, starting on Sunday afternoon against the Padres. Zack Greinke takes the hill looking to continue his great run of success.

Greinke was 5-0 with a 1.23 ERA in five August starts, but his hot streak has been even longer than that. Greinke has nine quality starts in his last 10 outings, with a 1.49 ERA during that span. The Dodgers have won Greinke's last six starts and 12 of his last 13.

He has allowed three runs in 13 innings against the Padres in 2013, including eight innings of one-run ball with eight strikeouts on June 22, his first start against the Padres since breaking his collarbone at Petco Park on April 11.

That win by Greinke started the Dodgers on their march to the top of the National League West. Beginning on June 22, the Dodgers are 50-13 in their last 63 games, a .794 clip, and currently hold a 10½-game lead in the National League West, matching their largest lead of the season.

Roster moves

In addition to the Dodgers calling up five players from Triple-A Albuquerque, the Padres also made their first wave of September additions on Sunday. San Diego recalled pitcher Tommy Layne and catcher Chris Robinson from Triple-A Tucson.
