Jeff Passan tweeted last night that, Padres pitcher, Joe Wieland is suffering from a sore elbow. Tommy John surgery rehab kept Wieland out of the rotation for all of the 2013 season.
Significant concern in Padres organization over RHP Joe Wieland's sore elbow. MRI scheduled Monday. Worst-case scenario: another torn UCL.

Report: Wieland headed for MRI on elbow | UTSanDiego.com
Wieland has allowed nine runs on 14 hits and six walks in seven innings in Cactus League action.
Although Padres fans know Passan as the deliverer of doomsday scenarios, his tweeted worst case scenario of another torn UCL for Wieland doesn't sound as far fetched. Especially since the very problem arose recently with his teammate. It was determined in February that the insides of Cory Luebke's elbow turned to a yellow mush after his first Tommy John Surgery didn't take.
Losing Wieland for at least another season to surgery would be a crushing blow for Wieland and would undoubtedly be a source of major concern for the Padres and their medical staff.
